Warranties & Guarantees
Tire Warranties
Most new tires come with manufacturer warranties. These warranties vary by manufacturer and are subject to the terms and conditions set by the tire manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties typically cover:
- Manufacturing defects (e.g., workmanship, material defects)
- Tread wear guarantees (specific to product)
- Road hazard protection (when applicable)
Manufacturer warranties do NOT cover:
- Improper installation, maintenance, or repair
- Damage from misuse, accidents, or negligence
- Underinflation or overinflation
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from potholes, curbs, or road hazards (unless road hazard coverage was purchased)
- Damage from extreme weather or temperature changes

We warrant that all services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. If you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, please contact us within 14 days of service completion to discuss resolution options.
Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED ABOVE, WE MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so these exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
Limitation of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MR TIRES OTTAWA, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
- The use or inability to use our website or services
- Any defects, delays, or errors in our services
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss or corruption of data
- Loss of use or functionality of your vehicle
- Accidents, injuries, or damage resulting from tire failure or our services
Important:
This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
Cap on Liability
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service that is the subject of the claim, or $500 CAD, whichever is greater. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is made.
Assumption of Risk
You assume all risks associated with your use of our services. You understand that tire failure can result in accidents, injuries, or death. By using our services, you accept this risk and assume full responsibility for any consequences.
Warranty Claims & Defective Products
Reporting Defects
If you believe a tire or service is defective, you must notify us within 14 days of discovery of the defect. Failure to notify us within this timeframe may void your warranty rights.
Inspection & Documentation
To process a warranty claim, we may require:
- Original invoice or proof of purchase
- Photographic evidence of the defect
- Information about the vehicle (make, model, year, mileage)
- Description of the issue and when it was discovered
- Inspection of the product in person at our facility
Manufacturer vs. Non-Manufacturer Defects
If a defect is determined to be a manufacturer defect, the manufacturer’s warranty will apply, and we will assist you in processing the claim. If a defect is determined to be the result of improper installation, maintenance, or use, the warranty may not cover the repair or replacement.
Remedies
If a defect is covered by warranty, available remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. We are not liable for any additional costs, including labor, travel time, or vehicle rental while repairs are being completed.
